Fortunate enough to attend AU on Full National Merit Scholarship, I graduated cum laude with a double degree in English and Theatre Arts. Some key highlights - participating in the amazing Honors Program (where I wrote my first musical) and founding the Alfredian Dramatists.
Right out of Alfred I was cast as Company Member with the Shenandoah Shakespeare Express (now American Shakespeare Center). Followed that up the multiple seasons with National Shakespeare Company, & Prospect Theater Company.
Performed in 40 states +
La Vie Boheme - living in a variety of fun apartments, spent 4 years performing Off and Off-off Broadway, with the Actor's Studio, Prospect Theater Company, and a bunch more Shakespeare. Played everything from a swashbuckler to a Siamese twin to a demonic Ben Franklin.
In an effort to find a day job, started selling mortgage leads for a company fronted by Robert Wagner. We connected over my theater background, and I went from selling leads, to writing, directing and producing the commericals that generated them - and generated revenue.
I spent the next six years working full time jobs in two industries - managing million dollar budgets in the financial services industry, and entertaining thousands with shows I performed in or directed in New York and around the region. It's normal to have a 100 hour work week - right?
In 2012, both of my careers were in full swing. I had earned my Actors Equity card, and been promoted to a vice-president in the financial services world. Over the next 7 years, I grew in both roads, and ended up becoming a Chief Marketing Officer, while also writing my first novel.
During the pandemic, I launched a non-profit called the American Globe Center, a group dedicated to building a re-creation of Shakespeare's 1614 Globe Theater here in my hometown of Stratford, CT. As the pandemic receded, I also directed and produced my first TV pilot.
Meanwhile, after a brief Covid hiatus, I applied my theatrical skills in presentation and storytelling to land a position at Fairway, one of the largest mortgage companies in the country, where I currently serve as EVP of Marketing and Technology.
Integrating my two paths has made me an intuitive and empathic leader and marketing motivator, all thanks to a two decade career in both the financial services and entertainment sectors.
My background in performing arts has evolved into excellence in imaginative management and project leadership, as well as best in class execution on large scale presentation and communication initiatives.
I look forward to joining my next ensemble and "opening night".
